Visit Discover

Our wide range of activities for Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children engage and support literacy, communication and thinking skills using creative play. Scroll down the page or click on the calendar to see which sessions you can choose from. Please note you will need to book if you want to come along.

Please note that the Superheroes exhibition will be open from 1 April.

Foundation Stage

The Story Trail: Drama and Storytelling

Available all year round. 10 - 11.45am and 12.45pm - 2.30pm Tuesday - Friday during term time.

Through drama, storytelling and exploration of Discover's unique environments, children learn the key elements of story craft - character, setting and plot and help Hootah to create new stories for Squiggly Diggly.

Exhibition: Superheroes - Superhero Sounds

Until Oct 2012

10.30am - 12pm and 1pm - 2.30pm

During Term Time

Children will explore and hunt for word sounds to help them create a brand new superhero story to take back to school.

During Term Time

Using the Alphabet City as inspiration the children will learn about key elements of comic writing by developing an origin myth for the villain and making a comic planning sheet they can take back to school.
