At Events and Festivals
Discover has over seven years’ experience in creating fun and interactive events for families. We use a wide range of activities and workshop programmes including storytelling, music, arts and crafts and drama to appeal to everyone. We are experts in family play and have a brilliant team of trained facilitators who make events, workshops and consultations exciting and inspiring. Discover can design and programme events to specific themes or take the lead from a client’s brief. We can decorate the site, provide storytellers, musicians and actors and most importantly bring fun to the party!
Here are some examples of events we have participated in:
-
Thrive Festival, Canning Town, Newham: A Where the Wild thing are themed marquee with interactive play space, stories, large scale craft activities and treasure hunts.
-
Know the Show: English National Opera: We delivered story and craft activities around the themes in Goethe's Faust.
-
Newham Fun Day, Stratford Shopping Centre: A day in our Story Tent (a big yurt) with an illustrator doing a hands on illustration workshop.
-
Newham Mayor’s Show, Central Park: Discover headed up a children’s consultation event where families created a large scale model of what they would like Stratford’s High Street 2012 to look like.
-
Newham’s Council's Participation Unit: All over Newham in schools, parks, community centres and
shopping centres. Themed storytelling and arts and crafts workshops.
