Please note on Wednesday 16 August the Poetry Playground will be reserved for our Mighty Mega Club from 2-4pm.

Make a poem out of big bendy shapes, draw a poem to take home with you and take a picture of the poem you make. Come along to this relaxed and fun space that puts a big zap of fun into poetry with the help of our Story Builders.

This is a drop-in event and pre-booking is not required. During busy times you will be allocated a time slot when you arrive.

Become a part of this giant, colourful artwork and discover its cogs to turn, levers to pull and pendulums to swing. Kristi Minchin’s interactive installation will thrill children and adults alike.

Kristi Minchin is a Maker and 3D Artist with a passion for spreading positivity and happiness through immersive artworks and installation pieces. Her practice, fuelled by an interest in human interaction and play, is an exploration of colour, shape and form primarily through sculpture. Kristi makes movable sculptures for use in animations, exhibitions and public space installations, that encourage people to play and interactive with the pieces and overstep the boundaries of tradition gallery-based artworks.

Join Nadine Kaadan, award-winning Syrian illustrator and author, in a storytime and art workshop that sheds a welcome light onto Syria’s long and proud cultural heritage.

This event will be followed by a book signing.
