0-3s Storytelling Session

Monday 17 September – Sunday 25 November

Peek into our pocket planetarium – using spheres, balls, bubbles and sounds to play with perspective and light. Here is Earth – the only home we’ve ever known. And there are the stars and glimpses of the universe.

Inspired by Pale Blue Dot, the photograph taken of planet earth in 1990, this intimate interactive performance is a sensory delight for everyone big and small. Size, after all, is only a matter of perspective.

Conceived and made by We Are Here Studio and developed with Discover Children’s Story Centre

Free with your Discover Day Pass – we strongly recommend booking in advance.

Please note, this show contains magnets and objects made of latex.

Emily Brown and Father Christmas by Neal Layton

2 December | Ages 4-7 | 11am

Join us for a special event with Neal Layton who will be reading from Stanley’s Stick by John Hegley, and his latest picture book Emily Brown and Father Christmas, written by Cressida Cowell.

With a stick in hand, Stanley’s options are endless – his imagination takes over and the magic begins. Join Stanley as he flies to the moon, writes in the sand, goes fishing, plays a whistle and even rides a dinosaur… And in his latest collaboration with Cressida Cowell, Emily Brown and her side-kick rabbit, Stanley, take on a Christmassy challenge of grave importance – Father Christmas is in trouble and he needs some Ho-Ho-Help and fast!
