Hiring Discover
Located on Stratford’s High Street, Discover Children’s Story Centre is a unique and exciting venue offering versatile and affordable spaces for meetings, away days, product and book launches. The only venue of its kind, Discover is an extraordinary Edwardian building combining period features with a contemporary entrance, café and distinctive interior guaranteed to evoke the ‘wow’ factor for any visitor.
Footsteps away from Stratford’s transport hub including Central Line, Jubilee Line, DLR, Overground and national and regional rail services, Discover is only 15 minutes from London’s city centre and ideally located close to the Olympic Park.
By holding your event at Discover you will be supporting us as a charity, providing educational resources to families and schools in east London.
The Story Trail and Garden
The Story Trail is specifically designed for children aged 0-11 and their families to explore with dressing up, secret caves, tea party area, magic tower, lights, sounds and stories. It is a spectacular place to enjoy being a child (or being a child again!). The Story Trail can take up to 200 visitors and can be exclusively hired for children’s events or for team building away days for businesses.
The Café and Reception Area
The café and reception area designed by award winning architects Carmody and Groarke is a light and modern space that can accommodate up to 15 people board room style, 50 people for a reception or launch. This is a brilliant area for meetings or breakout sessions, book launches or receptions.
The Zone
This flexible space is perfect for receptions, parties, events and creative workshops, rehearsals or meetings. The Zone can be separated into two distinct areas, with a specifically designed partition creating an acoustically contained space within a space. . This space can accommodate 100 people for a launch or event 60-70 lecture style or is suited to smaller seminars and break out groups.
The Studio
The Studio is a black box space with lighting rig and sound system. Available at specific times of the year it best suited to exhibitions and events.
Meeting Room One
Ideal for seminars and meetings this contained room can seat up to 50 people lecture style and 25 board room style.
Meeting Room Two
This light and colourfully decorated room overlooking the High Street is for up to 30 people lecture style and 15 people board room style.
